Jordanian forces foil drug smuggling attempt via drone

A military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces reported that the Jordanian Southern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration, thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics via a drone on Monday afternoon. The operation took place along the western border of the zone.

The source stated that border guard forces in the Jordanian Southern Command followed the drone and, after tracking it, engaged it and brought it down inside Jordanian territory. The seized substances were handed over to the relevant authorities.

The source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces will continue to use all available resources to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
