In a call with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II warned of the serious consequences of the “Israeli” military ground operation in Rafah.

There was an emphasis on the urgent need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, as well as intensified efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Strip without any obstacles or delays – according to the Royal Hashemite Court’s (RHC) statement.

His Majesty reiterated Jordan's condemnation of the attack on a Jordanian aid convoy destined for Gaza via the Beit Hanoun crossing by extremist “Israeli” settlers.

Trudeau expressed his concern about the attacks by extremists on aid convoys heading to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Furthermore, the importance of working towards a political horizon to end the “Israeli-Palestinian” conflict on the basis of a two-state solution was emphasized during the call.
