Jordanians are anticipating an extended holiday period in June, which is expected to last for nine days.

It's likely that the Eid al-Adha holiday will span from Sunday, June 16, to Thursday, June 20, followed by Friday and Saturday (the weekend), giving Jordanians a total of nine consecutive days off.

Eid al-Adha falls on the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah, and Jordanians are awaiting an official statement from Prime Minister Dr. Bishr al-Khasawneh to confirm the Eid holiday dates.

The Prime Minister has issued an official statement declaring the suspension of working hours for ministries, official departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and government-owned companies on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in celebration of International Labor Day, observed annually on May 1.
