Captain Ayman Al-Harahsheh from the Highway Patrol Department said that Jordan witnessed three accidents within the last 24 hours, resulting in 12 injuries.

One collision occurred on Petra Highway towards Ramtha, causing five injuries.

Civil defense teams swiftly transported the injured to King Abdullah University Hospital, where their condition was reported as moderate.

Another accident took place on the desert road near Al-Hajjaj city, resulting in two moderate injuries. The injured were taken to Ma’an Governmental Hospital.

Additionally, a collision in the Al-Sawaqa area towards the south led to five moderate injuries, with the injured transferred to Karak Public Hospital.

Al-Harahsheh attributed the accidents to negligence of traffic safety measures, sudden lane changes, and improper handling of turns.

The Highway Patrol Department emphasized the importance of following traffic regulations to prevent dangerous incidents.
