The women's football team for Jordan secured a spot in the finals of the West Asian Football Championship after defeating the Palestinian team 5-0 in the semi-final match.

The team advanced to the semi-finals by leading the first group with three consecutive victories.

In a match held at the King Abdullah Sports City Reserve Stadium in Jeddah, the women's national team clinched a 2-0 win against Lebanon, concluding the first round of the 8th West Asian Federation Women's Championship 2024.

With nine points, the team claimed the top spot in the standings, followed by Lebanon with six points, Guam with three, and Saudi Arabia with no points.

The team now awaits the outcome of the other semi-final match between Lebanon and Nepal to determine their opponent in the final.
