Jordan represented by the The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), signed Sunday the amended protocol to the Air Services Agreement with the Qatar.

The signing ceremony took place in the Qatari capital, Doha where signing on behalf of the Jordanian side was Captain Haitham Misto, Chairman of CARC, and on the Qatari side was Mr. Mohamed Falah Al-Hajri, Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority, under the patronage of His Excellency the Qatari Minister of Transport, Jassim bin Saif Al-Sulaiti.

The significance of signing this protocol lies in its provision of the opportunity for both countries to operate new air transport entities without imposing any restrictions on their number.

This facilitates taking advantage of the removal of restrictions on operational capacity in terms of the number of flights.

This aligns with the air transport liberalization policy adopted by the Jordanian government through the National Aviation Strategy, aimed at enabling and enhancing economic, tourist, investment, and commercial activities, as well as air traffic, and increasing opportunities for air operators, airport operators, and passengers to benefit from air transport services free from any restrictions on the number of entities, flights, types of aircraft, or operational points.

This protocol reaffirms cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the two countries and will contribute to strengthening and developing bilateral relations in the field of air transport.
