Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi and his Bulgarian counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, held extensive discussions addressing the developments in the Gaza Strip and bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two sides delved into the catastrophic consequences of the ongoing war on Gaza and the measures taken to halt it and safeguard civilians.

He also urged the international community to promptly act to cease the conflict in Gaza, reiterating Jordan's efforts to facilitate aid entry into the region.

Safadi also highlighted that Gabriel's visit provided an opportunity to explore further the robust bilateral ties between their nations. Both sides agreed to relaunch regular political consultations, with the initial round scheduled to commence within two months after joint teams identify issues requiring decisions that serve the interests of both countries.

Gabriel affirmed her country's commitment to delivering aid to civilians in Gaza, underscoring Jordan's role as a peacemaker in the region. She stressed that prolonging the war would lead to more casualties in Gaza.

Additionally, Gabriel expressed Bulgaria's readiness to enhance cooperation with Jordan in various sectors such as technology, communications, education, and research, underscoring the mutual benefits for their peoples.
