Footballers return to clubs after Asian Cup; Jordanian League matches rescheduled

The national football team players have returned to their respective local and international clubs following the conclusion of their participation in the Asian Cup in Qatar, where the national team secured second place.

Professional players based abroad have started rejoining their clubs today, Wednesday. Musa Al-Taamari is back with the French team Montpellier, while Yazid Abu Laila has returned to play for the Saudi Al-Jabalin team. Additionally, players in the Qatari league, including Yazan Arab, Ali Alwan, Yazan Nemat, and Ibrahim Saada, are expected to prepare to rejoin their respective clubs today in anticipation of the upcoming matches.

In a related development, the Football Association has announced the rescheduled dates for matches postponed from the fifth and eighth weeks of the Jordanian Professional League for the 2023/2024 season.

Next Saturday, Amman Stadium will host a match between Al-Faisaly and Shabab Al-Aqaba at 5:00 PM, followed by another match between Al-Wehdat and Al-Hussein at 7:30 PM at Hassan Stadium in Irbid.

The fixtures continue with Al-Wahdat facing Al-Ramtha at Amman Stadium on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 5:00 PM, and Mughir Al-Sarhan taking on Al-Faisaly at 7:30 PM at Prince Muhammad Stadium as part of the eighth week’s matches.
