The Jordan National Football Team advanced to the quarter finals of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, after beating the Iraqi national football team 3-2 in a thrilling match.

Yazan Al-Naimat scored the first goal Jordan in the stoppage time of the first half. Yazan Al-Arab scored the equalizer in the stoppage time of the second half. Nizar Al-Rashdan scored the third and winning goals also in stoppage time.

Iraq's Saad Natiq scored the equalizer for Iraq in the 68th minute, and Ayman Hussein scored in the 76th minute.

With this result, the national team is set to face Tajikistan in the quarter-finals.
