The national football team secured a 2-2 draw against the South Korean national team at Al Thumama Stadium in the ongoing 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.

South Korea's captain, Son Heung-min, netted a penalty kick in the ninth minute, while Jordan's goal came from an unintentional own goal by South Korean defender Heung-min Son in the 37th minute.

Yazan Al-Naimat added another goal in stoppage time of the first half. In the second half's stoppage time, national team defender Yazan Al-Arab accidentally scored the equalizer against South Korea.

Following a remarkable 4-0 victory against Malaysia in the first match, Jordan leads Group Five with four points, edging out South Korea on goal difference.

The Malaysian and Bahraini national teams currently sit at the bottom of the standings with no points each. Bahrain and Malaysia will face each other later on Saturday, both aiming for a win to revive their prospects in the tournament.
