Amid escalating military operations in southern Lebanon between Hezbollah and the Israeli Occupation army, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell emphasized the necessity of preventing Lebanon from being drawn into a regional conflict.

Borrell, during a press conference in Beirut, urged Israeli Occupation to find alternative ways to address the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the humanitarian crisis there, where people are not just facing bombardment but are also starving.

He reiterated the impossibility of separating Gaza from the West Bank and committed to making the two-state solution a reality.

The daily exchange of bombings on the Lebanese-Israeli Occupation border has raised concerns about the potential expansion of the conflict.

Borrell, meeting with Lebanese officials, stressed the importance of diplomacy and reopening diplomatic channels to avoid regional escalation in the Middle East.
