The German sportswear company Puma has announced that it will end its sponsorship of the Israeli Occupation national football team next year, a decision made prior to the current conflict in which the Israeli Occupation is attacking the Gaza Strip, according to the company's spokesperson Tuesday.

The spokesperson stated that new contracts had recently been signed with other national teams, to be announced later this year. “Contracts with several national federations, including [the Israeli Occupation] and Serbia, will expire in 2024.”

The decision is part of the company's new “fewer-bigger-better strategy.”

Calls for the boycott of Puma have grown over the years due to its sponsorship of the Israeli Occupation team. These calls have intensified following the aggression against Gaza, which has entered its 67th day, with the death toll rising to 18,205 martyrs, including 7,739 children and 4,885 women, with over 49,645 injured, per official numbers from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
