The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that, according to Article 38 of the amended Traffic Law, "pedestrians crossing the road in places not designated for that purpose, despite their availability," may face a fine of JD 15.

has reported that pedestrians constituted the highest percentage of traffic accident victims in Jordan over the past year, accounting for 36.1 percent.

The PSD emphasized that crossing the street from undesignated or hazardous locations or doing so without proper attention, is both incorrect and perilous behavior.

The PSD urges the public to exercise caution on the road, underscoring its commitment to reducing violations and ensuring public safety.
