A 16-year-old Jordanian named Salman Essam Ahmed Maatouq from Ma'an lost his life due to drowning in a swimming pool in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, according to Roya's correspondent.

The young boy was visiting his relatives in Tabuk at the time of the incident.

Efforts were made to rush him to a hospital, but he passed away shortly after.

Jordanian authorities are in communication with their Saudi counterparts to coordinate the necessary procedures for transferring the young man's body to Jordan.
