An official military source from the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) - the Arab Army said that officers in the southern military region thwarted a group of people’s attempt to illegally cross the border into a neighboring country.

The source added that those who attempted to illegally cross the border were arrested and handed over to the relevant authorities.

The source said that the JAF will deal firmly with any infiltration or smuggling attempt in order to protect citizens and the security of the Kingdom's borders.
