Body of Palestinian recovered in Lake Tiberias

Saturday, the Palestinian authorities found the body of lawyer Raed Mahamid from Umm al-Fahm, who drowned in the Sea of Galilee.

According to what was reported by the Palestinian News Agency, Mahamid's body was found in a place about 200 meters from where he drowned, after nine days of searching.

The deceased, who is married and has three children, drowned as a result of his fall in Lake Tiberias, last Friday, while he was relaxing with a group of friends on a boat in the lake.

According to the agency, the official figures indicate that 67 people have died in drowning accidents in recent years.
