The President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) Khaled Al-Salem referred Wednesday the ‘JUST harassment case’ file to the public prosecutor.

Salem had previously formed an investigation committee headed by his deputy, and after collecting all the documents and information, he decided to transfer the case to the public prosecutor.

He also issued a decision to suspend the accused professor from work until the relevant courts issue a ruling on the case.

The decision came five days after the ‘Techno Harasser’ hashtag went viral on Jordanian social media. Many complaints were submitted to the university’s presidency last Sunday and Monday, and the testimony of the accused was heard, and accordingly it was decided to transfer the case to the Public Prosecutor.
