The competent authorities have shut down a private hospital in Amman, after a doctor at the emergency department and three nurses were found to be infected with the coronavirus, according to Al-Rai newspaper.

The director-general of the hospital stated that a nurse working at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) had symptoms of flu and fever five days ago, after which he headed to the hospital's emergency department to receive the necessary treatment. He was treated by the emergency doctor, a nurse and his fiancée, who also works as a hospital nurse.

He added that the hospital conducted a COVID-19 test to the nurse and the result was positive.

The Ministry of Health was immediately informed of this, as a medical team rushed to transfer the infected to the isolation hospital.
