Four new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Jordan today, total cases rise to 349

The total number of coronavirus cases in Jordan has reached 349, as four new cases were confirmed today, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, has announced.

The new cases are one person who had direct contact with his infected daughter and wife who returned from Italy on March 22, one contracted the virus from her infected fiancé who had close contact with an infected Lebanese national and a girl who contracted the virus from an infected person, the Minister said during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

He also announced that a person has died today at a private hospital, explaining that the deceased tested positive for coronavirus.

"16 recovery cases were reported today at Prince Hamzah Hospital," Jaber confirmed.
