40 people who had contact with infected man in Ajloun test negative for coronavirus

The Director of Ajloun Health Directorate, Dr. Tayseer Annab, has announced today that 40 out of 132 people, who had direct contact with an infected man in Ajloun governorate., tested negative for coronavirus.

He added that the rest of the results will be shown this evening, noting that 20 people were tested in Kufranjah and Al Hashmiyah towns in Ajloun and more people will be tested in the Bao'on area.

Earlier yesterday, Director of Health Affairs in Balqa governorate and member of the National Committee for Epidemics and the official overseeing coronavirus in Balqa, Dr. Wael Al-Azab, confirmed that examination results of 29 people who had close contact with the infected vegetable trader at Al-Arda wholesale fruit and vegetable market, were negative. 

Azab explained that before he tested positive, the trader was asked to commit to home quarantine as a precaution as he had contact with his infected brother who returned from the United Kingdom. However, he didn't adhere to the instructions and continued his work as a vegetable seller.
