Official: Only one tests positive out of 280 people examined for coronavirus in Irbid

The official overseeing the coronavirus crisis in the northern governorate, Wael Hayajneh, revealed this morning that 280 people underwent the coronavirus test in Irbid governorate, only one case was positive.

Speaking exclusively to Roya, Hayajneh said that 98 people who had close contact with the infected doctor in Ramtha were examined and all of them tested negative.

He confirmed that the situation in Irbid is reassuring, the epidemiological investigation teams continue their work and further tests are being conducted to detect infections.

"More than 3,000 tests have been conducted in Irbid since the beginning of the crisis in the Kingdom," Hayajnrh mentioned.

He also stressed that all the infected are in stable health condition and there are no critical cases.

"There is no need for another 24-hour lockdown in the governorate, as the situation is good," Hayajneh stressed.

11 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the Kingdom yesterday, bringing the total number of cases to 310, including those who recovered.

However, 13 people recoveries were reported, bringing the total recovery cases to 58 cases.
