National Committee for Epidemics: The coming days are decisive for Jordan

Spokesman for the National Committee for Epidemics, Nathir Obaidat, has confirmed this morning that "the coming days are very decisive for Jordan to end the coronavirus."

He exclusively told Roya that the 24-hour curfew that will be imposed on the Kingdom this Friday aims at limiting the direct contact between people and thus prevent the spread of the virus, stressing that another "comprehensive curfew" may be imposed later based on the increase in the number of cases.

"Those who had direct contact with infected people in Irbid and Wadi Mousa tested negative," Obaidat confirmed, adding that the committee will re-examine them, as the incubation period for the virus is 14 days, so they didn't show symptoms.

Obaidat said that testing kits are available. However, there is a lack of medical equipment needed for these tests.
