Prime Minister Dr. Omar Razzaz has issued today the Defence Order No. 4 of 202, which requires the separation of donation funds from the government's general revenue.

During a press briefing, Razzaz announced the launch of "Himat Watan" project as a general national project to unite efforts in order to eliminate coronavirus and its effects and to ensure the highest levels of governance and transparency.

The Prime Minister said that hundreds of citizens, expatriates and residents have been inquiring about the donation mechanism, indicating that "this is an expression of the feeling of citizens and residents that this country, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, is precious."

"Himat Watan" project aims at identifying donors and donation values. More than one donation account was created to help families who were directly affected, especially day laborers who have lost their main source of livelihood, Razzaz said.

He stated that a third voluntary fund was approved for large donations from the private sector that exceed hundreds of thousands, and millions of dinars, so that this process can be institutionalized to ensure who receive these donations.
