Spokesman for the National Committee for Epidemics, Dr. Nathir Obaidat, has said today that there are five COVID-19 patients in critical health conditions.

Speaking to Roya, Obaidat explained that the five patients are currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and one of them is on artificial respiration.

He added that some of the patients show mild symptoms, while others have pneumonia, confirming that they are in stable health conditions.

"A large number of people who had direct contact with infected in Irbid have undergone medical tests. However, the results haven't been shown yet," Obaidat said.

On the deaths, Obeidat stressed that there are specific protocols to bury them and sterilize all places from which they are transferred.

"Areas, where a large number of cases may be recorded shall be placed on complete lockdown after consultations made between the Committee, the Ministry of Health and the government," he affirmed.
