Health Minister: 9 new coronavirus cases recorded today, 8 recovered

Nine new coronavirus cases were confirmed today, bringing the caseload to 268, including people who recovered, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, has announced.

 During a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the Minister said that among the infected are two from Irbid governorate, one was quarantined at one of the hotels, one reported by the Royal Medical Services and five people who had direct contact with one of the deceased at the Royal Medical Services.

The Minister also announced that a fifth death due to the virus has been reported today at the Royal Medical Services.

"Eight people have been discharged from hospital after they recovered," Jaber confirmed.

"We all shall commit to staying in our homes for two weeks to reduce the spread of the pandemic," he concluded.
