The Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Adaileh has called on Jordanians to support the efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) and security services and abide by the instructions.

During a press briefing by Minister Adaileh and the Director of the Moral Guidance Directorate at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Adaileh said: "I received a call from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein, who is following up on the developments to combat coronavirus, during which HRH praised the efforts of all cadres working to combat this epidemic."

As the Kingdom is currently on a curfew, Adaileh pointed out that specific times will be announced on Monday, March 23, during which citizens will be allowed to go out to meet their essential needs, according to a mechanism to be announced then.

He stressed that the government is considering allowing a number of pharmacies in some areas to remain open.

"Curfew is a new way of life that we must get used to until life returns to normal in order to curb the virus," Adaileh said.

"The army units have sterilized seven hotels in the Kingdom, five of which are in Amman," he stated.

For his part, the spokesman for the JAF, Mukhlis Al-Mefleh, confirmed that the corona crisis operation room will always be receiving citizens' complaints.

He stressed that the people are abiding by the instructions; however, there are a number of violations.

Mefleh confirmed that the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) has dealt with 2000 sick cases since the beginning of the curfew this morning.

"There is no entry or exit traffic through the Kingdom's ports," Mefleh said.
