Tourist restaurants implemented an intensive sterilization campaign as part of the precautionary and preventive measures ordered by the Jordan Restaurants Association (JRA) to fight coronavirus and limit its spread.

JRA General Manager, Eliana Janineh stated that all restaurants performed sterilization, distributed gloves and masks to their employees and provided sterilizers throughout their facilities.

She added that some restaurants require that clients sterilize and sanitize before entering and leaving a restaurant.

Janineh noted that the JRA distributed brochures and educational posters to restaurants to spread awareness against the coronavirus, in cooperation with the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA).

She said that the JRA also held a lecture for restaurant owners and staff to explain the mechanisms of coping with the COVID-19 and the necessary preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
