All people who had direct contact with the infected Canadian tourist, who was on a visit to Jordan, tested negative for coronavirus and none of them had any symptoms.

In a statement issued on Saturday evening, March 14, the spokesman for the national committee for epidemics, Dr. Nathir Obaidat, said that the man who was accompanying the tourist is still quarantined until the results of the medical examination are received.

In another context, Obaidat said that the Ministry of Health conducted a medical examination for a Kuwaiti citizen who had been living in Jordan for a while, and the result of the examination was negative.

Obaidat reiterated the need to adopt means to prevent the spread of the virus and get information about the virus from its official sources represented by the Health Ministry.
