A person has surrendered himself to police after he opened fire at a restaurant in Abdoun area of Amman, according to a security source.

A few days ago, Southern Amman police were tipped off that a person shot fire at a restaurant in the Abdoun area and fled the scene, the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement today.

Triggered by a personal dispute, the shooting incident resulted in material damage to the restaurant without any serious injuries reported, the spokesman pointed out.

Later, the suspect surrendered himself to police with the gun he used in the incident. 

Police launched an investigation into the incident, while the culprit will be referred to the judiciary.
