Director of the King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, Naser Majali has confirmed that the airport administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, has put in place preventive and medical measures to fight against the novel coronavirus.

Measures included installing fixed and manual thermal scanners to detect arrivals with high temperatures or who have any symptoms of the virus.

"Cadres and airport management announced a state of alert after the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) placed highly sensitive devices to examine arrivals from various countries, Majali explained.

Majali indicated that King Hussein International Airport receives a large number of arrivals and leavers on daily basis and is an ideal destination for Arab and foreign investors, tourists and citizens from all over the world.
