The Kingdom will import a COVID-19 treatment that will be effective in 80% of the cases in which it is used," Head of Prince Hamza Hospital, Abdulrazzaq Khashman said in a press statement today.

Khashman stated that Jordan is one of the leading countries to take the necessary precautions against the virus.

He reassured Jordanians on the health condition of the Jordanian citizen infected with the virus, confirming that the citizen is in good health and that all passengers on board the plane will be quarantined.

"There are four people quarantined at the hospital, including two Jordanian citizens, an Egyptian man and a Tunisian woman," Khashman stated, confirming that they all tested negative for the virus.

He added that the Tunisian and Egyptian nationals will leave the hospital soon.

"The citizen will be quarantined until we ensure that he doesn't have the virus. He will undergo a medical test every four days," Khashman said.
