Five Jordanian citizens were quarantined yesterday at the Epidemic Diseases Department (Isolation Department) of Al -Bashir Hospital to ensure that they don't have the novel coronavirus, as they have recently arrived from South Korea.

In a statement, Head of Al-Bashir Hospital, Dr. Mahmoud Zureiqat said that eight other Jordanians arrived from Italy were also quarantined.

Zureiqat added that the total number of people quarantined in Jordan has reached 19, as there were six others quarantined before.

In previous statements, Zureiqat confirmed that there are no coronavirus cases in Jordan.

In addition, the national committee for epidemics decided to ban non-Jordanians coming from China, South Korea, Iran and Italy from entering the Kingdom, unless they departed their countries for a period not less than 14 days, as those countries have a number of coronavirus cases.
