The Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Adnan Ishaq has revealed that the Ministry prevented Chinese employees, working at Attarat Power Company, south of the Kingdom, from direct contact with Jordanians.

Ishaq told Roya that the ministry is taking precautionary measures by putting 2000 Chinese workers under medical observation for fourteen days, which is the coronavirus incubation period.

"None of the employees have developed any coronavirus symptoms," he mentioned.

Earlier today, a specialized medical team headed to Al-Attarat area, south Jordan, to make medical checkups on a number of Chinese employees working at Attarat Power Company.

After receiving a detailed medical report on the health statuses of Chinese workers who have recently arrived in Jordan from Wuhan, China, the Ministry will exert efforts to prevent the virus from spreading in the Kingdom by imposing a quarantine on Chinese workers, the Health Minister, Saad Jaber said.
