School evacuated after wall collapsed in Irbid

The Ministry of Education has decided on Sunday, January 12, to evacuate the Kafar Rakeb secondary school in Irbid after a wall collapsed, killing three people and leaving one with injuries.

Four workers of Arab nationalities were carrying out maintenance work at the school when the dilapidated wall came down on them, spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD), Iyad Al Amro said.

Rescue personnel worked to recover the bodies from under the rubble using special rescue equipment, while the ambulance teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured and took him, along with the deceased to Princess Raya Government Hospital.

The injured was listed in moderate health condition.
