The impact of the third-degree weather depression is expected to deepen today, bringing more rain in most parts of the Kingdom, according to Arabia Weather.

Temperatures are expected to remain 6-8 degrees below their annual average, as the weather will be extremely cold and foggy, especially over the high mountains.

Heavy rainfall is in the forecast in some areas and may be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail showers.

This evening, snowfall is expected over the high mountains that exceed 1200 meters above sea level in the south of Jordan and over some highlands in the north of the Kingdom.

Rain may be mixed with snow in the high areas that exceed 1000 meters above sea level.

At night, extremely cold weather conditions are in the forecast, with some rainfall that may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail showers.

Snowfall is expected tonight over the high mountains that exceed 1300 meters above sea level, with a chance of snow accumulation in the Tafilah and Sharah mountains.

Northwesterly moderate speed winds are expected.

Arabia Weather has issued a series of warnings, notably:

  • Safe use of heating facilities.
  • Risk of flooding in lowlands and valleys in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.
  • Risk of slippery roads in the high mountains due to snow and hail showers.
  • Low visibility in the mountains due to fog.
