Since the beginning of the current winter season, 177 people have suffered from H1N1 "Swine Flu" in Jordan, according to The Department of Communicable Diseases and the Department of Disease Control of the Ministry of Health.

This morning, around 16 cases of Swine Flu were registered. However, four people have died from the flu so far.

Despite the high number of people infected with this virus, the Ministry of Health says that the situation is under control.

In a post on his Facebook official account, MP Saddah Al-Habashneh called on the government to urgently reveal the measures taken regarding the spread of H1N1 in Karak governorate after it has been recently announced that a number of people have the flu.

Habashneh also called on the Ministry of Health to declare a state of emergency in Karak, while Health Minister Saad Jaber went to the governorate to check on the health conditions of the infected people.
