A one-year-old Jordanian boy died on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, after drowning in the Saudi city of Dammam.

The child was playing near the beach in the city, after which he was lost, according to the representative of the Jordanian Embassy in northern Saudi Arabia, Haitham Khattab.

The child's family informed the Saudi authorities that their son was lost, where they started searching for him.

The child was found dead near the beach, as he drowned.

Procedures for transferring the body to Jordan have been completed in cooperation with the Saudi authorities.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has not issued any statement regarding the incident yet.
