Members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested on Sunday, November 24, 2019, a person who ran over a citizen and caused his death in Zarqa governorate, spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.

In a statement, the spokesman explained that earlier on November 20, the Zarqa Police Directorate received a report, indicating that a man has been taken to a hospital after being run over by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene immediately.

The statement revealed that the man died shortly after he was taken to the hospital.

A special investigation team has been set up by the CID to follow up on the incident and to search for the perpetrator.

Following the investigation and the gathering of information, the vehicle and the driver were identified, after which the driver was arrested and referred to the judiciary.
