The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since this morning, which has left five people killed.

Spokesman for the Ministry, Ambassador Daifallah al-Fayez, said in a statement that the Israeli escalation on Gaza Strip and targeting innocent civilians will only increase tension and violence and promote extremist agendas in the region, adding that it will not lead to any solutions.

He added that a real political horizon must be found through negotiations between Palestinian authorities and the Israeli occupation authorities.

Al-Fayez confirmed that the unjust siege on the Strip must be lifted, Palestinians' humanitarian needs must be met, and the rules of the International Law must be given full respect.

The Israeli occupation is fully responsible for the escalation on the Strip, Al-Fayez mentioned, calling on the international community to take immediate action to end this escalation and protect Palestinian people.
