Civil society organizations and the families of the Jordanian citizens detained by the Israeli occupation authorities, Hiba Abdulbaqi Al-Labadi and Abdulrahman Marei have called on the government to exert more pressure on the occupation authorities to release the detainees.

A number of civil society organizations, parties, youth movements, activists, jurists as well as members of Al-Labadi and Marei families have called for an "online storm" at 8:00 pm today in Amman under the hashtag # Freedom to Hiba and Abdulrahman for the purpose of pushing the government to make more efforts for the release of the detainees.

Hiba was detained on August 20, 2019, near Allenby Bridge, as she was on her way to the West Bank with her mother and aunt to attend her cousin's wedding.

Since the moment she was arrested, Hiba suffered from psychological and physical torture. She was also deprived of family visits.

Labadi has been on a hunger strike for 36 days to protest against the torture she has suffered during the investigation for nearly a month and the administrative detention.

Marei was also arrested after crossing the King Hussein Bridge to visit his family.

He has also suffered from torture, although he has cancer.
