Minister of Interior, Salameh Hammad, decided on Thursday, October 24, 2019, to lift restrictions on the citizens of the People's Republic of China and India and exempt them from obtaining the prior approval of the Ministry of Interior to enter the Kingdom's territory.

Under the minister's decisions, the two countries' citizens will be granted visas by Jordanian diplomatic missions abroad or at border checkpoints upon arrival.

On the goals, the minister said the decision comes with the purpose of facilitating procedures for foreign investors and stimulating tourism movement, in a bid to enhance the national economy to support the state Treasury.
