The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the ongoing Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al-Haram Al-Sharif, the most recent of which was the Israeli police facilitating large-scale raids by extremists on the mosque during the Jewish holidays.

Ministry spokesman, Sufian Qudah voiced Jordan's categorical rejection of these absurd practices and irresponsible provocations that run counter to Israel's obligations as an occupying power in occupied East Jerusalem under international law.

Qudah called on the Israeli authorities to promptly halt these practices, respect the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the feelings of Muslims, and to respect the historical and legal situation in occupied Jerusalem.
