The Operations Centre at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has investigated a video showing a man severely hitting a young child in Mersin, Turkey, Head of the Centre, Sufian Qudah said on Sunday, October 6, 2019.
Following the investigation into the video, which went viral on social media platforms, the child was found to be Jordanian, Qudah noted.
Qudah explained that the Jordanian Embassy in Ankara has immediately contacted the competent Turkish authorities, which in turn arrested the aggressor, who is currently being interrogated.
He pointed out that the Jordanian Embassy in Ankara has contacted the child's family and is working on providing support for them, stressing the Ministry's keenness to follow up on all matters related to Jordanian citizens abroad and takes care of their interests.
