Speaker of the House of Representatives and Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Atef Tarawneh will meet today with Prime Minister Omar Razzaz at the Prime Ministery's building, a parliamentary source has said.

The source told Roya that Tarawneh and Razzaz will discuss the teachers' strike during the meeting.

In compliance with the Administrative Court's decision to end the strike, the Ministry of Education had earlier called on parents to send their children to schools and confirmed that it will apply the provisions of the civil service system against striking teachers who refused to give lessons to students.

The Ministry warned that if teachers or school principals do not comply with the decision, provisions of Article 169/a/2 of the Civil Service Law No. 82 of 2013 and its amendments will be applied against them and a supplementary teacher will be assigned instead of each striking teacher.
