For the second week in a row, teachers in most public schools across the Kingdom continue their strike, in response to the call of the Jordanian Teachers Syndicate.

Most of the public schools in the Kingdom are currently empty of students, since teachers go to schools, but do not give lessons to students.

Teachers are on strike, as they are demanding the government to provide them with a 50% raise.

However, Deputy Head of the Syndicate Nasser Al-Nawasrah, has called on Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz to hold a meeting with members of the Syndicate today at 8 pm to discuss all the outstanding issues, most notably the 50% raise the teachers are asking for.
