Amman Governor, Saad Shihab has called on teachers who will organize the protests in Amman to abide by the law, Jordan News Agency (Petra).

In a statement issued on Thursday, September 5, 2019, Shihab said that if protestors break the law, the necessary measures will be taken against them.

The government affirms that teachers have a right to express their opinion and stage protests in accordance with the law, he pointed out.

Shihab explained that teachers were not prevented from organizing a sit-in.

However, the government stressed that the protests must take place only in the square opposite to the House of Representatives, as the 4th circle and the Ministry of Interior circle witness heavy traffic every day and if the protests are held there, traffic will be impeded.
