The Sustainable Development Report 2019 shows that Jordan has advanced 10 places on the Sustainable Development Index when compared to the report issued in 2018.

This year, Jordan ranked 81st, compared to 91st in 2018 out of 162 countries surveyed.

Jordan has advanced one place regionally, ranking sixth in the Arab world after Algeria, Tunisia, UAE, Morocco, and Bahrain respectively.

The report also shows Jordan's progress with regard to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), including clean water, hygiene, and climate action.

It also reveals that Jordan has made medium-sized progress in good health and welfare, clean and affordable energy, industry, innovation, and infrastructure.

The Sustainable Development Report 2019 presents the SDG Index and Dashboards and frames the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in terms of six broad transformations. It was prepared by teams of independent experts at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Bertelsmann Stiftung.
