Two female tourists were run over by a vehicle in Wadi Rum area, south of Jordan, according to a report received by the Badia Police Command on August 25, 2019.

Spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement that the tourists were transferred to a nearby hospital, where their health conditions were described as moderate.

The spokesman added that the vehicle driver had immediately surrendered himself to police and the necessary legal measures were taken against him.
