The Ministry of Education has announced the beginning of the new school year calendar 2019/2020.

Jordanian schoolchildren will be going back to their classrooms on the first of September 2019, which marks the actual beginning of the first semester. Meanwhile, teachers will start their lesson planning a few days earlier, on August 25, the Ministry said in its announcement.

The 1st semester's exams will end on February 18, 2020, followed by a 12-day leave, the Ministry pointed out.
