Media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) explained on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, the circumstances of the incident, which was published by a social media user on her Facebook profile about her friend who was severely beaten by her husband.

The spokesman said that on August 11, 2019, the woman, who was beaten, was admitted to a hospital after, as she claimed that she had been beaten by her husband, where the Family Protection Department initiated an investigation into the case.

The aggressed wife said that while they were at their home, her husband had severely beaten her with his hands in various parts of her body, causing her a broken nose and nosebleed.

He also caused her bruises in her face, hands, and legs, in addition to pain in the head, chest and back.

According to a medical report, the aggressed's health condition was described as moderate.

At the same time, her husband had filed a complaint to a security center, claiming that he was beaten by his wife's brothers, where he obtained a medical report, indicating that he suffered pain in the head and lower abdomen and bruises in the head, where he was listed in good health condition, the spokesman added.

One of the wife's brothers was also admitted to a hospital, where he received a medical report, indicating that he had pain in the chest from the left side due to a bruise. Her other brother also received a medical report that indicated that he had pain in the head and his general condition was good.

The Family Protection Department had then completed all the necessary procedures, as the case was transferred to the Public Prosecutor and the husband was charged with "simple assault" and is still free until now.

The aggressed's two brothers were also charged with "simple assault," but were set free after they were detained.
